If you’ve reached this point then you might be thinking “so what’s this going to cost me?” And it’s a fair enough question so I’ve listed below rates for the work I most commonly do.
Now, before we get to the hard numbers, here’s what you need to know, so you know what’s included:
- taking a project brief
- identifying your target audience
- understanding your business objectives
- undertaking research, including keywords
- optimising the copy for SEO (search engine optimisation)
- two sets of revisions
- editing and proofreading
- two social media intros with suggested hashtags (for blogs/articles)
BLOGS OR ARTICLES
Sometimes the subject of an article or blog will determine the length of the post. However as a general rule, for blog posts of between 400-600 words, I charge $190 per blog or a package of ten for $1,800. I’m happy to quote for longer form articles or feature writing.
If you’d like to ‘try before you buy’ and commission a single blog – that’s fine, just call me. If you’re on a bit of a tight budget and would like to write them yourself and only need a quick proofread and edit them – that’s fine too. For larger projects like writing content for a new website, I work on a fee per project basis because it depends on how many pages are required, word length, research and content requirements and so forth. However as a guide, for an eight page website, you’d be looking at around $2,500.
I can provide you with social media posts for your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, to capture your key messages and ensure they align with your business goals. Costs vary depending on the number of posts and platforms but I offer affordable packages of anywhere from around $160 a month upwards, depending on your needs.
I charge $350 for a quarterly e-newsletter (minimum of four) which takes care of your news and your customers for a year.
Generally, I charge $250 for a standard business plan including two lots of revisions (financial projections etc to be provided by the client).
