That’s it. That’s what gets me out of bed and the reason I became a copywriter.
The weird thing about the ‘About’ page on this site (or any site), is that really, it’s not about me – it’s about you.
But I understand people like a bit of background so they know who they’re dealing with – so get comfortable – here’s a snapshot.
My background, for some years, has been in business admin, bookkeeping and office management. However, the writing has always been there, bubbling away in the background.
A quirky opportunity to write for mX news in Sydney (covering the Australian Idol contest weirdly enough) got me thinking ‘heck – this is what I should be doing’ for a living.
A few years passed and I moved to Canberra. I did a Communications degree as well as quals in copywriting, web content writing, digital and social media and blogs. In 2015 I wrote for This is Canberra and that’s what got me hooked.
So here I am. In 2017 I created Cut-through Copywriting because copywriting is my thing.
Needless to say, as a small business owner myself, I find myself doing the juggling act and scrambling to tick off all the things on my list – which is why I get you. And it’s also why I want to work with you. Tasking me with your business writing means you can put down one of those balls.
